Sign By-law

The Council of the Town of Midland passed By-law 2011-79 at its meeting on December 19th, 2011, being a bylaw to regulate signs and advertising devices and repeal By-law No. 2007-70. The new Sign By-law is organized according to zones, as per Zoning By-law 2004-90, as amended. 

The new Sign By-law also includes:

  • New sign types: banner signs and projecting signs
  • Updates to sign sizes and required setbacks
  • New regulations for signage in the Downtown

The new Sign By-law (2011-79) will take effect January 1, 2012 and will be accompanied by new brochures and sign permit applications.
